Lithops Living Stones

Lithospermum, commonly known as “living stone” or “living gem”, is a perennial succulent herb in the genus Lithospermum in the family Fabaceae. It is named for its stone-like appearance.

Morphological Characteristics Plant structure:

Leaves: The leaves are thick and succulent and come in a variety of colors.
There are darker branching indentations or mottled patterns at the top, called“windows”.

Flowers: Flowers are solitary, daisy-like, and 2-3 centimeters in diameter.
They are usually white or yellow and bloom in summer and fall.
Each flower lasts about a week.
