Aeonium aureum (formerly Greenovia aurea) is a captivating succulent native to the Canary Islands, famously known as "Green Rose Buds" because its tightly closed, dormant rosettes resemble a rose in bloom.

 Care Guide at a Glance

Soil: Requires porous, gritty, well-draining succulent soil to prevent root rot.

Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light to partial shade. Avoid harsh, direct afternoon sun in summer, which can scorch the foliage.

Watering: Keep lightly moist during its active growing season (Autumn through Spring). Like other succulents, avoid overwatering.

Temperature: This plant is summer-dormant. It prefers cool, mild weather and goes into a resting phase when temperatures rise.

Echeveria 'Champagne' is a rare and highly sought-after hybrid succulent renowned for its thick, frosty leaves and vibrant color changes.

Created from a cross of Echeveria agavoides 'Romeo' and Echeveria laui, its foliage ranges from pale blue-green to silvery-grey, blushing into deep pinks or reds under proper sunlight and stress.

 Key Characteristics

-- Colors: Vary depending on environmental stress; popular variations include Pink, Red, and White/Green Champagne.
-- Texture: Covered in a delicate, waxy white coating called farina.

 Care Instructions

To keep this prized succulent compact and vibrant, follow these standard growing conditions:

-- Light: Thrives in full sun or at least 5+ hours of bright, indirect sunlight daily to prevent etiolation (stretching). Use a bright windowsill or grow light if keeping indoors.
-- Soil: Requires a highly porous, well-draining substrate (e.g., standard cactus mix blended with perlite or pumice).Watering: Adhere to the "soak and dry" method.
-- Water thoroughly only when the soil is completely dry to the touch. Avoid overwatering, as it is susceptible to root rot.
