Sedum

Sedum pachyphyllum commonly known as Crested Jelly Beans or Crested Baby Toes, is a unique mutation of the traditional Sedum pachyphyllum. This mutation, known as “cresting” or “fasciation,” occurs when the plant’s growth point splits, causing the stem to grow in a flattened, fan-like or crest-like shape. This rare and decorative form makes it a highly sought-after succulent in collections.

Plant Features
 • Leaves: Thick, cylindrical, and chubby, with rounded tips. Normally green, but under strong sunlight and cool temperatures, the tips turn pink or red, giving the plant a candy-like appearance.
 • Crested Growth Form: Due to fasciation, the plant’s stems become flattened, forming fan-like or crested structures with densely packed leaves.
